JIM Unger [Vedio Here]

Jim UngerJim Unger, creator of the very popular c
omic panel "Herman" was not only brilliant but a guy willing to go the extra mile for his fans.

Many years ago I wrote Mr. Unger to express my great pleasure in reading his comic feature. I could always count on getting a chuckle and often a big laugh out of his zany sense of humor. He, in turn, was very kind to send me an ori
ginal "Herman" which I now proudly display on my studio wall. It cost him over $3.00 to mail it to me as he was, at the time, living in the Bahamas and I'm in the United States. I've never forgotten that kindness and in return I sought out as many "Herman" collections as I could find.

I don't know how many cartoonists would have done that for someone they didn't know. But Jim Unger did. (Cathy Guisewite, creator of 'Cathy' actually took the time to make a drawing of her character for me.)

Unger's work influenced many strips with a weird zaniest about them, such as Gary Larson's 'The Far Side' (who never did respond to my letter!!) and many, many more, including my own work.

Black Country Communion Live Over Europe Performing "Cold"
Black Country Communion was formed in Los Angeles, California by Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple fame. Also included is drummer Jason Bonham, keyboardist Derek Sherinian and the fabulous guitarist and vocalist Joe Bonamassa. It's classic hard blues rock with some of the best people in the industry! Check them out here.

Coming Attraction...

My assistants are working hard on a new cartoon featuring President Obama. In the meanwhile here's a fantastic video featuring Warren Haynes and Joe Bonamassa jamming hard together in "Feel Like Breaking Up Somebody's Home"

IE9.. Making Life Suck Bit by Bit

OK, so I've been pissing around with IE9 using Windows 7.. my advice.. don't bother! The damnable thing isn't ready (still isn't ready) for prime time.

You would think that Microsoft would finally have a kick ass browser, but noooo.. what they have is a lame ass browser. Same goes for Firefox and even my most heavily used browser.. Crazy Browser. None of them could render web pages correctly on my brand new Dell XPS | 14Z  64 bit Window 7!

But finally one browser came through for me... Google Chrome... I should have figured that the folks over at Google would have their shit together.

My advice to Bill Gates and crew... spend some of that money on getting IE9 working ya pack of tard knot heads!
IE9 rating... "pathetic".

Update

WOW, it's been a long time since I've been able to update this blog. I've been offline for nearly a year and I'm just getting back.. bought one of those Dell Ultra Books. It takes some getting use to.. Window 7 and all.

I'm deep into developing a comic strip, hopefully for syndication. But time permitting I hope to get back to this blog with some new stuff in the days, weeks and months ahead.
